ACON, Inc. was started over 35 years ago to provide the metal working industry with a line of custom designed and manufactured sheet metal acoustical enclosures built to satisfy each customers specific requirements. We know how important it is to not only to provide operator safety, but also to give the highest level of noise reduction possible. Our designs are intended to insure operator safety and hearing protection but also to give the best level of access for maintenance and set-up in the least obtrusive and most cost effective package. We are also a supplier of acoustical materials, acoustical products, and acoustical supplies. We can provide you with all types of custom sheet metal fabrication and structural framing.

Current Designs
"Bolt-On Acoustical Die-area
Guarding"
We offer a line of Acoustical Punch Press guarding designed to meet O.S.H.A. and EC (European Community) standards for safety. Our sheet metal/ acoustical guards are offered as optional equipment by several Punch Press manufacturers because each one is custom designed to meet the end users requirements, "feeds, parts conveyers, scrap removal, maintenance, etc." Our acoustical guarding is offered in three basic styles, Model A1 is a pneumatically operated vertical lifting die area gate. Model A2 is a counterweighted, manually operated vertical lifting die area gate. Model A3 is a hinged door design. These three styles are also available in sheet metal only design, without the acoustical material.
Total Acoustical Enclosures
Our Total Acoustical Enclosures provide the highest level of noise control while maintaining the ability to access, service, and maintain your machine. These sheet metal acoustical enclosures are constructed using a strong tubular steel frame and "bolt-on" acoustical sheet metal panels. We design the requirements for material feeds, part removal, lighting, ventilation, access interlocking, die changes, maintenance, and any special customer requirements from the beginning. The modular "bolt-together" construction makes it very simple for an average maintenance staff to access, service, or even move the enclosure time after time.
Special Sheet Metal and Acoustical Projects
Because we custom design and fabricate each project in house, we are able to offer our customers a unique solution to their specific sheet metal and noise control problem. Each product is custom designed and built to fit your special requirements.
We also provide non-acoustical enclosures and sheet metal products for a variety of parts such as: paint spray cabinets, I.R. ovens for powder coating, EMI isolation booths, robotic laser enclosures, test cells, tables, racks, etc.
Acoustical Materials and Supplies
We can provide you with any of several special acoustical materials for noise control. From spray-on and sheet damping products to sound absorbing blankets and foam composites.
